Hostinger for consultants: look past the introductory price

A sensible shortlist option for a contained service website. The important questions are scope, payment timing and what happens when you outgrow it.

The decision in brief

Consider Hostinger Website Builder for a small consulting site when you want a contained setup and can verify that its editing and inquiry workflow suit you. Do not buy a long term simply because the displayed monthly equivalent is low.

A good fit starts with a limited brief

Our strongest use case is a solo consultant with a clear offer, a small collection of pages and a straightforward inquiry route. The initial objective is credibility and contact. If a platform helps you describe that offer and reliably receive an inquiry, it has done the essential work.

Put it on your shortlist

You value a contained setup, can work within the editor and have a concrete budget. You are willing to test the entire customer journey before committing.

Look harder elsewhere

You require a complex client workflow, a deeply customized publishing system or a migration path that preserves the entire design automatically.

The price is a commitment, not just a rate

On September 6, 2026, Hostinger’s business website page displayed Premium at US$2.99/month equivalent for 48 months: US$143.52 paid upfront, renewing at US$10.99/month. Its Unlimited offer displayed US$3.99/month equivalent, US$191.52 upfront for 48 months, renewing at US$16.99/month. Confirm region, tax, billing term and live checkout terms. The useful buying question is whether you would still choose the product if the introduction lasted only a short time. A discounted multi-year purchase reduces flexibility. If you are still changing your business model, that flexibility may matter more than the effective monthly saving.

Record the amount due today and the next renewal in your calendar. Use the cost calculator to compare like-for-like cash commitments. Add domain and email renewal quotes instead of assuming any introductory inclusion continues indefinitely.

Prove the boring tasks before buying

Build a service page with your real content. Try a long heading, a wide client-approved image and a service description that does not match the template’s sample length. A template can appear excellent until the words it must carry become specific.

Then test the inquiry route from a different device. Inspect the form labels, confirmation message, inbox delivery and reply address. If appointments matter, test your selected scheduling service too. Treat integrations as separate workflows until you have seen them work together.

Finally, ask someone unfamiliar with your business to explain your offer after viewing the page. If they cannot, revise the content before revising the subscription. Our copy guide gives you an example structure.

Plan for the day you want to leave

Hostinger documents a WordPress content export, but it does not preserve everything. Layouts and styles, store content, forms, integrations and SEO settings are among its exclusions. Read the export boundaries.

Keep a platform-independent folder containing approved copy, original media, page titles, URL paths and a service inventory. After major edits, update that folder. The practical portability question is how much rebuilding you could afford—not whether an export button exists.

Our verdict

Hostinger is worth a structured trial for a small consulting website. The recommendation is conditional on a successful contact test, comfortable editing and a total price you can defend. We would not use the promotional rate alone as the selection criterion.

Our relationship: Best Solution Guides uses Hostinger for its new hosting setup. This assessment concerns Hostinger Website Builder; this publication is a custom-built site, so our hosting use is not evidence of hands-on builder testing.
