Two products can say 2-in-1 and do different jobs
The Belkin WIZ039 and UGREEN 55313 in this collection pair a phone position with an earbud charging surface. Satechi OntheGo 2-in-1 pairs a phone position with an Apple Watch charger. If the missing cable in your travel pouch belongs to a watch, a phone-and-earbuds pad does not replace it.
Likewise, a spare USB-C output does not become a built-in watch charger. It may let you power a separate compatible puck, but you still need that puck and its cable. Include them when comparing the total cost, packed size and number of things to remember.
Use the device combination as the first filter. Only compare price and design among the products that can perform the job you want. This removes a surprising amount of shopping confusion before technical details become relevant.

When a 3-in-1 earns its space
A three-device station makes sense when it consolidates a real daily routine. If your phone, watch and earbuds otherwise gather around different cables on the same table, a purpose-built station can give each a predictable place. The benefit is organization, not a requirement to charge all three at every opportunity.
Check whether the charger’s arrangement suits the way you take the devices on and off. Does a closed watch band fit around its position? Can you reach the earbuds with a large phone attached? Can the phone turn landscape without covering another device? Manufacturer diagrams are useful, but allow some clearance beyond the bare station dimensions.
A folding 3-in-1 may also make a coherent travel kit. Evaluate the whole kit, including its adapter, cable, any plug heads and case. Three charging surfaces on one object do not necessarily mean a smaller total load than the separate equipment you already own.
When fewer charging positions are better
An empty charging module has no immediate benefit. If you do not own the relevant watch, a smaller phone-and-earbuds option can leave more usable space. If your earbuds last through several days and are usually charged elsewhere, a phone-only stand may match your routine more closely.
A single shared station is also not always the right answer for two people. A 3-in-1 usually describes different kinds of devices, not three phones. Two people who each need a phone position at night may prefer separate chargers on their own sides of the bed.
Think about independent replacement too. With separate components, you may be able to change a watch charger without replacing a phone stand you still like. An integrated station offers a tidier arrangement, but ties more of the setup to one piece of hardware. Which matters more depends on how often your devices change.
Watch and earbud compatibility need their own line items
Do not translate “smartwatch charger” into universal support. Apple Watch, Galaxy Watch and Pixel Watch use different accessories and requirements. The watch module on an Apple-oriented 3-in-1 should not be recommended for another watch ecosystem unless the maker explicitly supports it.
An earbud family name can hide several charging-case versions. Find the specific case’s documentation. The relevant feature is wireless charging support in the case, not Bluetooth support in the earbuds. This is especially easy to miss when shopping for a gift.
Fast charging is another separate check. A watch module may charge a watch without offering the fastest mode available to that watch. Ask whether that distinction matters to the routine: an overnight charge and a brief morning stop create different requirements.
A useful gift starts with a small inventory
For a husband or partner, note the exact phone and watch models discreetly before shopping. For newlyweds or a housewarming, establish whether the gift is intended for one person’s bedside table or a shared space. A stylish station that only suits one person’s devices may still be a good gift, but it should be a deliberate choice.
Choose a complete kit where possible and explain any required extras. A gift receipt and an accurate note about compatibility are more useful than overstating that the charger works with “everything”. If you cannot establish the devices, a retailer gift card may be more considerate than a guess.
The final decision is simple: select the smallest combination that serves the devices you actually charge together, then compare the complete cost and physical layout. The number in the product name should describe the solution, not lead the purchase.
